RERA (Real Estate Regulatory Authority) Registration under the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act, 2016 is mandatory for all real estate promoters/builders launching projects with plot area above 500 sq.m. or with 8 or more apartments. No advertisement, marketing, booking or sale of any unit can be done before RERA registration. Each project gets a unique RERA registration number.
Create promoter account on respective state RERA website.
Enter project name, location, total units, area, amenities, and completion date.
Upload land title, approved plans, commencement certificate and financial details.
Upload CA-certified financial projections and legal title certificate.
RERA Authority reviews for completeness within 30 days.
Project RERA registration number issued; must be displayed in all ads.
